    Manual de etiquetado nutricional de alimentos Chile. 3°edición 2022

    Este Manual de Etiquetado tiene como principal objetivo orientar a los Pequeños Productores
    de Alimentos, sobre el correcto etiquetado nutricional de los productos que elaboran. Considera
    aspectos como el etiquetado nutricional obligatorio vigente desde el año 2006 en Chile y
    especialmente la nueva rotulación de los símbolos de advertencia “ALTO EN”, cuando corresponda,
    además de otros temas relativos a la producción y etiquetado de alimentos. Este manual también
    orientará a los almacenes de barrio y otros comerciantes de alimentos, tanto para verificar el
    correcto etiquetado nutricional como para supervisar las prácticas de publicidad de alimentos,
    especialmente las que están dirigidas al público infantil, y particularmente de los alimentos
    producidos por empresas medianas y grandes.

      Etiquetado nutricional en la parte frontal del envase en América Latina y el Caribe

      Diez países de América Latina y el Caribe han promulgado legislaciones o normativas de ENPFE.
      Cinco han implementado advertencias nutricionales en la forma de octágonos negros (Argentina,
      Chile, México, Perú, Uruguay) y dos han promulgado leyes y se encuentran en proceso de implementar sistemas similares (Colombia y la República Bolivariana de Venezuela). Ecuador aplica un
      ENPFE tipo semáforo que no se ubica obligatoriamente en el panel principal del empaque; Brasil
      implementará un ENPFE con rectángulos negros y lupa; y el Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia aprobó
      la adopción de un ENPFE tipo semáforo, que aún no ha sido implementado.
      El objetivo de esta nota orientadora es recopilar y presentar la evidencia sobre la implementación
      y evaluación de las políticas de ENPFE en América Latina y el Caribe, con la finalidad de apoyar a los
      Estados miembros en su aplicación.

            NUEVA CONSULTA PÚBLICA: Propuesta de modificación al Título III de los aditivos alimentarios y Norma técnica de aditivos alimentarios del Reglamento Sanitario de los Alimentos

            Esta propuesta ha sido elaborada por el Grupo de Trabajo Asesor en Materia de Aditivos Alimentarios (03 febrero 2021, Decreto Exento N°08, Ministerio de Salud).
             
            Para su elaboración se ha establecido un “Sistema de Clasificación de Alimentos” basado en los principios del Codex Alimentarius, adaptando algunos de sus títulos, definiciones y ejemplos a la realidad nacional y puntualmente a lo establecido en el DS 977/96, con el fin de permitir usos de aditivos alimentarios en cada categoría de alimentos.
             
            Los descriptores de las categorías de alimentos establecidos en la Norma Técnica de Aditivos Alimentarios no tienen como fin ser denominaciones legales de los productos para el etiquetado; sino que sirven para validar los aditivos y limites que están permitidos en ellos. Así mismo, el Sistema de Clasificación de Alimentos es de carácter jerárquico, lo que significa que cuando se reconoce el uso de un aditivo en una categoría general, se reconoce dicho uso en todas sus subcategorías, a menos que se indique otra cosa.
